The Studio & Your Life Balance Practise

Life Balance isn’t a box to tick, it’s a way of living, a constant rebalancing and returning to yourself and your purpose, sometimes that will be simply connecting with your centre of gravity when the world around you is shifting, sometimes that will be expanding your capacity for the unknown as you launch new projects.

Each month you’ll have a Prune & Bloom focus to keep you anchored to your life balance intention and finding your new expanded edge.

I’m Emma,

Before I prioritised my self-trust I found myself:

  • Panic buying courses or new productivity books at 2:00 as I ‘failed’ to achieve my goals again

  • Working 7 days a week because I was too much of a people pleaser to increase my prices or say no to the days they wanted to work with me

  • Snapping at my family when they wanted to do anything that took me away from work because I had so much time and financial anxiety

  • Blaming myself for the situation I was in, telling myself I was lazy and disorganised (lazy AND working an 80 hour week, ok brain!)

  • Going through bursts of hustling, feeling like I was about to create the life I dreamt of and then burn out and exhaustion. For years. literally from 14 when I got my first Saturday job to 35 when I said that’s it. No more.

Then I decided to try another way.

  • I practised self-compassion to interrupt the blame/panic reactivity loop I was in

  • I worked with my coach to create a 15 hour week and learnt to regulate my nervous system even though I was terrified of the changes every single day (until I wasn’t and it became normal)

  • I started to ask myself what I actually wanted and then took the decision to create it.

  • I decided that it could be easy, that struggling wasn’t more valuable, I could decide to have fun whilst I was building the life I wanted, not wait until after!

You’re not behind on your goals, you don’t need more time, you’ve just been focusing in the wrong direction, your results in the past.

The missing piece in your journey so far? Your self-trust and commitment to the future version of yourself.

Repairing your self-trust means everything you’ve experienced, everything you’ve learnt can snap together to create the freedom you’ve been dreaming of.
